Our, Bharathi Arts & Science College is a legacy of the 20th century, bequeathed to us the ELAYAPERUMAL EDUCATIONAL TRUST. Its nucleus was ht “Bharathi Bala Mandir” which was started before 20 years. With the blessing of God and full support and Co-operation of the public, this Bharathi Bala Mandir was elevated into “Bharathi Matriculation School” and then “Bharathi Matric Higher Secondary School” which has the pride of producing 100% results in the public demand had prompted to start this Bharathi Arts & Science College. The college was inaugurated on 4th October 1997.

The trust has ambitious plans of producing great Citizens of India, who will bring glory to their Alma matter. The college has a well trained, efficient and devoted staff, a well equipped and spacious library and well furnished laboratories with A/c facilities.

The college is situated in a place quite far from the noise and bustle of the crowded town. The atmosphere is quite congenial to academic pursuits. It is at Thatchur which is on the Salem-Madras National Highway and just 2.5 KM from Kallakurichi town.

It is doing its best to fulfill the dream of Mahakavi Bharathiyar, the national poet, who was the emancipation of women. We, the authorities and the staff of this college are determined to do our best in making Bharathi’s dreams a reality.
